"I wanted to learn how to use the SafeGait to give me another “tool in my toolbox” as a student, and future, physical therapist. It not only provides us, as students, with even more intervention ideas, but it also gives clients of all abilities an entirely new set of opportunities to enhance their movement. However, one of the most important things it does is allow me, and my classmates, to capitalize on each client’s full potential and have the means to challenge them in a safe and effective way that may not be feasible without it. This is so important because we have been taught in class and through experience that in order for people to truly improve or get better, we need to challenge their systems; the SafeGait allows us to do just that. Ultimately, these challenges, and the knowledge our clients learn about themselves from them, better prepare them to safely face obstacles in the community and move better as a whole."

"I wanted to learn how to use the SafeGait because it provides unique opportunities to further challenge our patients in treatment sessions. I don’t have to worry about them falling while in the SafeGait so I can plan higher-level interventions to reach the patient’s goals."- Annie Casey ‘19, ‘21G

Rosalie Pizziketti ‘19, ‘21G is experiencing
what a patient using the SafeGait Active would
feel during a training session under the watchful
eye of Anthony Basile '19, '21G
"The SafeGait is an amazing piece of equipment to be able to really challenge patients of all levels. Without the extra task of guarding and worrying about safety, I am able to have my patients participate in activities of varying difficulty that I would not be able to otherwise. I think patients and myself both get the most out of a treatment session because of the SafeGait system to challenge their nervous system and create real change." ~ Rosalie Pizziketti ‘19, ‘21G ~
